Dean Anil Menon’s Quarterly Message

Dear Crummer Community,

As we step into a new school year, Crummer is alive with energy, driven by exciting initiatives that are propelling us toward our goal of becoming the premier MBA program in the region.

On September 5, we received remarkable news: Crummer has been ranked among LinkedIn’s global list of Top MBA Programs for Career Growth, standing alongside esteemed institutions like Emory and Vanderbilt University. This recognition is a testament to the hard work and strategic focus we’ve put into our brand, and it’s just the beginning of what we expect will be many accolades to come.

For those who may not follow our daily operations, we’ve been hard at work implementing the Crummer 2.0 and Crummer 3.0 strategies. These multi-year plans are designed as a series of progressive steps that will elevate Crummer to new heights. Over the past 12 months, Crummer 2.0 focused on optimizing operations and refining our teaching infrastructure. Now, as we move into Crummer 3.0, we will embark on bold, new strategies that leverage our strengths to expand our influence and elevate our reputation.

While our newsletter will continue to arrive monthly, this special Dean’s Edition marks the first of four quarterly updates, spotlighting new initiatives, milestones, and hires integral to our Crummer 3.0 strategy. These updates reflect our unwavering commitment to academic excellence, innovative program development, and impactful community engagement.

We are excited to announce the launch of AI-EDGE (Artificial Intelligence for Executive Decision-Making, Governance, and Execution), a new Center of Excellence at Crummer. Led by Dr. Jay Liebowitz, Professor of Business Innovation and Industry Transformation, AI-EDGE is set to become a premier hub for applied artificial intelligence in executive education, research, and industry collaboration.

We also spotlight the evolving role of the Edyth Bush Institute for Philanthropy & Nonprofit Leadership (EBI) in supporting our mission to develop globally minded leaders. EBI’s strategic focus on empowering nonprofit organizations through education and innovation is crucial to fostering social impact and economic value—core components of the Crummer Purpose. As EBI redefines its mission and vision, it continues to play a key role in connecting and strengthening the nonprofit sector, making it a cornerstone of our broader strategic efforts.

Additionally, the Crummer Alumni Board plays a vital role in maintaining a strong and vibrant alumni network. We are excited to welcome two new members, Candy Cole ’13MBA and Terry Castillo ’21MBA, who bring diverse experiences and a deep commitment to giving back to our community. Their involvement will enhance our alumni engagement efforts, particularly in fostering a sense of community and supporting the professional growth of recent graduates.

Lastly, we extended our marketing faculty with the appointment of Dr. Wenkai Zhou, a prolific researcher and writer with a truly global perspective.

These stories not only showcase our progress but also underscore our broader objectives: enhancing student experiences, strengthening alumni relations, and fostering leadership in business education. Together, they exemplify the Crummer 3.0 strategy’s focus on creating impactful, globally minded leaders who drive economic and social progress.

Enjoy the read,
