Adjunct Instructor of Management
Michael Kazazis, M.B.A.
As an entrepreneur, Michael co-founded and was CFO for Censeo Corporation, an HR technology and consulting firm that was an early adopter of SaaS methodologies. Censeo provided innovative web-delivered assessment tools (e.g., 360-degree feedback, knowledge testing and employee engagement surveys) that seamlessly integrated across enterprise platforms.
Through Censeo, Michael worked with many global F-1000 organizations including Sanofi-Aventis, Yahoo!, Google, GlaxoSmithKline, Deloitte, Franklin Templeton, and UPS. In 2011, he successfully negotiated the sale of Censeo to Mercer/Marsh & McLennan in a strategic deal that would transition Censeo into Mercer’s Talent Assessment Solutions division. Also in 2011, the Orlando Business Journal recognized Michael as CFO of the Year.
Prior to Censeo, Michael was Vice President of Technology for The Thomson Corporation (now Thomson Reuters). During his 8-year tenure there, he created and led a shared services technology organization spanning their tax and accounting portfolio of companies while assisting with M&A activities. Prior to Thomson, Michael worked at Cantor Fitzgerald Securities where he participated in the disaster recovery efforts during the 1993 WTC bombing.
During his career, Michael also served as CFO for two family enterprises. As a non-family member of their executive teams, Michael experienced first-hand both the challenges and the competitive advantages of working within that organizational dynamic.
As Director of Business Development and Partner Relations for the Crummer Graduate School of Business, Michael is responsible for sourcing and administration of student consulting projects, developing and managing partner relationships, and leadership on the dean’s strategic initiatives. He has worked closely with the creation and delivery of programs including Family Enterprise in the 21st Century, the Crummer Innovative Leader Series, and the Integrated Capstone Experience.
Michael earned an MBA from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College and a BS in Computer Science from Hofstra University.
