Events

Throughout the year, the Career Resource Center hosts a variety of opportunities and experiences for employers to meet new talent and for students and alumni to further develop their skills and enhance their networks. These include the annual Employer Meet & Greet, the Rollins Career & Internship Expo as well as networking events, intimate and targeted industry- related meetings with business leaders, on-campus information sessions, and on-campus interviews.

During this annual event, students and employers have the opportunity to engage in conversation and share information about internships and job opportunities.

Rollins Career & Internship Expo

Held each spring, the annual Career and Internship Expo is great way for employers to meet top quality undergraduate and graduate students and alumni, and to promote internships, part-time, and full-time employment opportunities.

Meet Our Staff

Renee Quintanilla, SHRM-CP, MHR, Director of Student Success

Renee works with graduate students and alumni providing career coaching, resume development, and job search strategies to help them compete for internships and post-graduate employment opportunities. As the Internship Advisor for the full-time MBA students, she cultivates relationships with business partners and students to ensure successful recruitment outcomes. Specializing in Talent Acquisition, she brings over 15 years of professional Human Resources experience to her role. Prior to joining Rollins College, Renee worked for Fortune 500 companies such as The Walt Disney Co. and Northrop Grumman, where she contributed as a business partner to the Corporate/College Recruiting and Training & Development functions. She received her BS in Marketing from Bryant University in Smithfield, RI, and is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management. Renee successfully completed the SHRM-CP certification and is a graduate of the Master of Human Resources program at Rollins College.

Melanie Rodriguez '06, SHRM-CP, MA, Associate Director

As a Career Coach, Melanie Rodriguez engages with MBA students and alumni for resume reviews, job search strategies, salary negotiations, networking, and relationship building. She is the Crummer MBA Internship Advisor providing oversight for academic requirements and partnering with business leaders to ensure student and organizational success.

Melanie comes to Rollins with over 12 years of experience in higher education and human resources. Her specialization is in Career Counseling, with additional experience in recruitment, interviewing, job search strategies and academic advising. Prior to Rollins, Melanie served as the Academic Contracts Coordinator with HR Regulatory at AdventHealth, where she drafted and executed academic agreements between the hospital and domestic colleges and universities. Additionally, Melanie served as the Internship Coordinator/Career Coach at the UCF College of Business. There she assisted students with internship search strategies, securing internships, networking, resume review and mock interview techniques. Melanie also brings a variety of Human Resources and Higher Education expertise from positions within Universal Orlando and Valencia College. She earned a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Bethel University and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Rollins College. Melanie is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management and holds a SHRM-CP certification.
