A bold new complex in downtown Winter Park will shape the next era of creativity, innovation, and community.
Rollins College today celebrated the groundbreaking of the new Rollins Museum of Art and Rollins Institute for Management & Executive Leadership—an ambitious project that will bring together art, business, and education in the heart of downtown Winter Park.
Located just steps from Park Avenue, the new complex will form the cornerstone of Rollins’ “Innovation Triangle,” connecting the College, the newly expanded Alfond Inn, and the city itself in a dynamic network of culture, leadership, and hospitality.
“This is not a collection of buildings,” said Anil Menon, George D. & Harriet W. Cornell Dean of Global Leadership at the Crummer Graduate School of Business. “It’s a living framework—a triangle of innovation, hospitality, and culture. The future of leadership won’t live solely in boardrooms or classrooms, but in the space where reflection meets execution.”
Leslie Anderson, Bruce A. Beal Executive Director of the Rollins Museum of Art, emphasized accessibility and community connection: “For the first time, we’ll be able to share the full richness of our 6,000-piece collection in purpose-built galleries. This will be a gathering place where artists, scholars, and visitors come together to question, reflect, and be inspired.”
Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings praised the project as a model of civic partnership and cultural investment, highlighting the county’s $10 million contribution in tourism development funds.
Rollins College President Brooke Barnett closed the ceremony alongside Winter Park Mayor Sheila DeCiccio, Dean Menon, and Anderson, reaffirming Rollins’ commitment to shaping Central Florida’s cultural and intellectual landscape.
When complete, the Museum and Institute will serve as a powerful expression of Rollins’ mission: preparing leaders who think critically, act ethically, and lead with both head and heart.
