Concentration Requirements (9 credit hours)
At least six credits from the following:

- OM 614 – Information Technology (IT) Strategy and Leadership (3 credits)
- OM 615 – Corporate Data Management (3 credits)
- OM 616 – Leveraging AI for Business Innovation (3 credits)
At most three credits from the following:
- FIN 611, Financial Modeling (3 credits)
- MKT 614, Marketing Analytics (3 credits)
You can obtain a finance concentration by completing at least nine credit hours with a FIN designation. The remaining three credits can be another elective with a FIN designation or one of the following:

Corporate Finance and Investment & Portfolio Management Tracks Available
Crummer MBA graduates have followed many different financial career paths – all of which involve raising money, investing money, or helping others manage money. Within the finance concentration, Crummer also offers the following curriculum tracks: the Corporate Finance Track and the Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management Track. Though there are different tracks, your transcript will just indicate that you completed a finance concentration. The recommended courses listed here are the courses that the finance faculty recommends preparing for a career in the respective field. The supplemental courses would give depth and breadth to your preparation.
Corporate Finance Track
The corporate financial manager directs all the financial operations of the firm. This track prepares you to understand the complexities of corporate finance, including raising funds from public and private sources; evaluating spending opportunities in domestic, developed, and emerging markets; employing risk management techniques including derivatives; managing global cash flows and exchange rate risks, and using corporate financial policy to advance your firm’s strategic objectives.

Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management Track
Investment professionals analyze capital markets using a variety of asset valuation and management techniques. This track prepares you for a career in the investment profession as a financial analyst and portfolio manager with mutual funds, private money managers, brokerage firms, trust departments, banks, and insurance companies. Courses in this track also prepare you to better understand financial analysts and interpret their external valuations. Investment students may want to consider pursuing the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation while at Crummer. Details are available from any finance faculty member.
