Introducing the 2023-2024 New Alumni Board Members

The Crummer Alumni Board works to create a lifelong connection between the Crummer School and its alumni by providing meaningful opportunities, events, and programs beneficial to alums. The Alumni Board holds a full schedule of programs in the areas of continuing education, career management, and social and networking opportunities. With a strong emphasis on the board coming from diverse backgrounds and perspectives, it strives to be representative of the entire Crummer community.

We’re pleased to introduce the newest members of the Crummer Alumni Board. This new class of eight represent various Crummer MBA programs and work as presidents, vice presidents, marketing directors, sales executives, operations managers, and digital strategists, as well as for a variety of industries including technology, healthcare, consumer goods, law, and government, amongst others. Their time as Crummer students spans over 20 years, giving each of them a diverse set of Crummer experiences that have positively impacted their professional and personal lives. They are eager to give back and bolster Crummer through the power of alumni engagement.

“We are thrilled to have an extensive alumni network spanning across the country and across the globe. It’s a huge benefit for Crummer and its students,” said Lovelyn Findley, assistant director of alumni relations. “We are also delighted to have this diverse new group of individuals bring their passion and commitment to the school in order to enhance the Crummer alumni experience.”

Meet the New Crummer Alumni Board Members

Name: Lucas Daniel Boyce ‘12MBA
Program: Saturday MBA (SMBA)
Current career role: Assistant to the County Administrator at Orange County Government

Lucas Daniel Boyce is a servant leader, author, and motivational speaker. He currently works for Orange County, Florida, government and is the assistant to the county administrator. He advises the county administrator on a variety of public policy issues and provides analytical, technical, and managerial support. Lucas also contributes to and participates in the strategic planning process to establish the future direction and long-term goals of Orange County. He oversees the county’s International Drive Community Redevelopment Area Advisory Committee (I-Drive CRA) and attends external engagement meetings on behalf of the county. Lucas provides presentations for the mayor, county administrator, senior leadership, and the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) on a range of public policy matters. He serves on the boards of the Central Florida Homeless Services Network (HSN), United Against Poverty Orlando, FASD United, and the Orlando Health Foundation in addition to serving on the audit committee for Fairwinds Credit Union.

Lucas is the author of Living Proof: From Foster Care to the White House and the NBA. With over twenty years of professional speaking experience, he travels across the country giving speeches focused on servant leadership, teamwork, overcoming obstacles, and making a positive impact in the lives of others. Lucas earned his bachelor’s degree in political science and speech communication from the University of Central Missouri in July of 2003 and graduated with his MBA from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College in May of 2013. Lucas completed his certificate in diversity, equity, and inclusion from the University of South Florida in December of 2022.

 

Name: Justin Braun ‘10 ‘11MBA
Program: Early Advantage MBA (EAMBA)
Current career role: Director of Marketing and Partnerships at Orlando Economic Partnership

Justin “JB” Braun currently serves as director of marketing, branding, and communications for the Orlando Economic Partnership, the Orlando region’s economic and community development organization dedicated to advancing Broad-based Prosperity®. In his role, he oversees and executes media relations tactics and strategies for the organization, its branding campaign, as well as for companies that are relocating or expanding in the Orlando region.

Additionally, Justin spearheads the organization’s CEO communications strategy and digital marketing to help change global perspectives of Orlando as a premier business and innovation destination. Previously, Justin held the positions of marketing communications manager for influencer marketing startup IZEA, associate editor of Where Traveler magazines with markets in Orlando, South Florida, Tampa, and Northeast Florida, as well as roles in Orange County Government, Rollins College, and other local startups. His experience working in the region’s business, tourism, and tech ecosystems provides him with a unique perspective on how to amplify stories and communities to change perspectives, grow narratives, and innovate new products, services, partnerships, and initiatives. He is also the percussionist and founding member of the regional folk rock band Beemo as well as the founder and CFO of the local foodtrepreneurial venture Winter Park Seltzer Company.

 

Name: Jeffrey DeMott ’05 ’06MBA
Program: Early Advantage MBA (EAMBA)
Current career role: President of Redland Nursery, Inc.

Jeffrey DeMott is president and owner of Redland Nursery, Inc. in Homestead, Florida. Redland and its affiliated companies are a network of family nursery businesses and property owners comprising over 350 acres of South Florida farming area. In addition to its wholesale nursery operations, the companies also perform bookkeeping services, asset management, and have undertaken other entrepreneurial investment opportunities over the years.

Prior to his work at Redland, Jeff worked for Universal Orlando Resort in revenue management. He has a BA in political science from Rollins College and is an Early Advantage MBA graduate from the Crummer Graduate School of Business where he served as president of his class. Soon after graduating Crummer, Jeff served on the Crummer Alumni Board as secretary, and after moving to South Florida in 2009, as its City Club president. Jeff and his wife, Sarah ’05, have two children, Tyler and Ella, and live in Davie, Florida.

 

Name: Gabrielle Feulner ’13 ’14MBA
Program: Early Advantage MBA
Current career role: Attorney at Heskin Martinez Law Firm

Gabrielle L. Feulner, Esq. is an attorney with the Heskin Martinez Law Group. As a family law attorney, Gabrielle strives to give individuals and families the opportunity to find peace and equity in their most needful moments by helping them navigate through all the decisions and negotiations of their case.

Gabrielle received her law degree from the American University, Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C. Prior to attending law school, Gabrielle helped develop and support students and entrepreneurs as the assistant director of the Center for Advanced Entrepreneurship at the Crummer Graduate School of Business.

While in law school, Gabrielle worked as a law clerk at Cottrell Fletcher & Cottrell P.C., clerked for an administrative judge, and interned at a federal government agency. Immediately after law school and prior to joining Heskin Martinez Law Group, Gabrielle worked as an associate attorney at Losey PLLC in Orlando, Florida.

Gabrielle graduated from the Early Advantage Program at Rollins College, receiving both her BA degree and an MBA at the Crummer Graduate School of Business. She is a Central Florida native and currently resides in Maitland, Florida, with her husband, Josh, and two dogs, Zoe and Luca.

 

Name: Robert Holmes ’21MBA
Program: Professional MBA (PMBA)
Current career role: Digital Strategy Manager at Advent Health

Robert Holmes is a marketing and brand professional currently leading consumer-facing digital strategy for AdventHealth’s multi-state division. With almost a decade of marketing and brand strategy experience, Robert’s focus is now dedicated to growing the AdventHealth brand across the country. Robert resides in Winter Park, Florida, with his partner where he practices his passion for making pizza. Robert holds a BA in marketing from the University of Central Florida and an MBA from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College.

 

Name: Stephanie Roe ’19MBA
Program: Early Advantage MBA (EAMBA)
Current career role: Operations Program Manager at Meta

Stephanie Roe is currently serving as an operations program manager within Meta’s Trust & Safety division. In this role, Stephanie leads a cross-functional team consisting of data scientists, product owners, and analysts. Her primary responsibility is to oversee and optimize the human and artificial intelligence (A.I.) review processes, ensuring operational efficiency. She manages the annual reviewer budget and implements strategic initiatives to enhance content review mechanisms, aiming to maintain or surpass key performance indicator (KPI) levels.

Before joining Meta, Stephanie worked as a supply chain consultant at Deloitte, specializing in the government and public services sector. During her tenure, she gained valuable experience in managing supply chains and operations for federal clients. She also held the position of senior subcontract manager at Lockheed Martin where she honed her expertise in defense, supply chain, and operations.

Stephanie’s educational background includes an MBA from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and psychology from the University of Florida. Additionally, Stephanie has earned the Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) certification, further validating her knowledge and expertise in the field.

 

Name: Gerrie Santos ’00MBA
Program: Early Advantage MBA (EAMBA)
Current career role: Vice President of San Manuel Band of Mission Indian, Risk Management and Risk Operations at Enterprise

Gerrie holds a BS in systems engineering from the US Naval Academy. After graduation, she served five years as a contracting officer and staff civil engineer in the US Navy Civil Engineer Corps.

After she left the navy, Gerrie spent years managing theme park design and construction projects for Walt Disney Imagineering and NBCUniversal. She is especially proud of her roles in The Muppet Attraction (Disney) and Universal’s Islands of Adventure Park.

Subsequently, she pivoted into a risk management role at Universal and continued that path. During this time, she earned her MBA from Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College. In 2004, Gerrie joined Parsons Corporation where she was the vice president of corporate risk management. In her role, Gerrie was responsible for the worldwide insurance and surety bond programs of the corporation. In 2016, Gerrie re-joined NBCUniversal and was a senior project director for the Universal Beijing Resort Project, in charge of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. She returned to risk management in 2018 for a short stint as the VP, risk management at the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians. She is currently evaluating options on next steps.

Gerrie holds a BS in systems engineering from USNA and an MBA from the Crummer Graduate School of Business. She has a son, Alex Pax, who works in Dallas as an insurance actuary. She also rescues greyhounds that are her constant companions in Florida.

 

Name: Mark Schwarz ’12MBA2Program: Professional MBA (PMBA)Current career role: Director of Logistics at PellaCorp

Mark is an enthusiastic leader with a proven track record of developing large teams and maximizing efficiency throughout the entire supply chain. Currently, Mark works for PellaCorp, helping manage and grow the logistical aspects of the business. Mark handles all product off the manufacturing line to last mile delivery. Mark is working on the future of Pella Warehousing and Logistics strategy, setting the tone for the next 10 years. Mark and team will double the business and continue to make Pella a #1 brand across North America and beyond.

Prior to working at PellaCorp, Mark has worked for several Fortune 100 companies—PepsiCo, Amazon, and Lowe’s. Mark has always been involved in supply chain operations and building strong teams.

Mark is one of the lucky students from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College who found his wife in his cohort. Mark and Meredith celebrated their 10-year wedding anniversary this past June. Mark and Meredith love exploring Des Moines, trying new restaurants, and attending as many concerts/sporting events as possible. In Mark’s free time you will find him being a true girl dad, working on braiding hair, painting nails, and taking his nine-year-old daughter to gym, dance, and golf lessons.
