Character, Leadership, and the Crummer Advantage: A Conversation with Mark Hertling

June 9 @ 6:00 pm 7:45 pm

Leadership is not a title. It is what people trust you to do under pressure.

Join us for an intimate evening with Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Mark Hertling — decorated military leader, author, MSNow national security analyst, and Professor of Practice on Leadership at Crummer.

This is more than a speaker event. It is a live preview of how Crummer approaches leadership development: through character, competence, trust, presence, and the discipline to act when the answer is not obvious.

For prospective students, this evening offers a live look at the kind of leadership thinking developed inside the Crummer MBA experience.

For alumni, it is a chance to return to Crummer for a conversation built for leaders who are still growing, deciding, and responsible for the people they serve.

What to Expect

Networking Happy Hour

Connect with prospective students, alumni, faculty, and staff over beer, wine, and light appetizers.

Leadership Session

Lt. Gen. Mark Hertling will lead a 45-minute session on leadership under pressure — not simply a quality you claim. It is a discipline you practice.

Book Signing & Raffle

After the session, continue the conversation during a book signing for If I Don’t Return: A Father’s Wartime Journal. The evening will also include a raffle for signed copies.
