A proven business executive with over 30 years of experience leading business and technology strategy, digital transformation, and cyber security initiatives to drive growth and shareholder value. Mr. Lomas’ engaging, collaborative communication style delivers results for the organizations he serves. He recently retired from Darden Restaurants after leading the technology and cyber security functions for 17 years supporting ten iconic brands, including The Olive Garden, Longhorn Steakhouse and The Capital Grille. Darden Restaurants has over 2,000 company-owned and operated restaurants with over $11.5B in annual revenue supported by 190,000 team members.
Prior to his Darden experience, Mr. Lomas served as Vice President for Reed Elsevier where he gained significant international experience directly managing teams in Europe, Asia, and North America. Mr. Lomas was a key contributor to Elsevier’s digital strategy and business transformation and was responsible for modernizing customer care and IT practices. He also led integration of multiple acquisitions into the Elsevier portfolio.
Mr. Lomas is passionate about children and education. He serves on the Board of Directors for Give Kids the World which partners with Make-A-Wish and others to ensure children with critical illness and their families can visit Orlando attractions. He also serves on the board for The Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College where he earned his MBA and is an adjunct professor. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
Mr. Lomas is an avid Pickleball player and enjoy spending time with his family, including his Golden Retriever, Palmer. He greatly enjoys his time at Crummer, especially working with students to help them achieve their education and career goals.
