New Workshop: Creating Sustainable Business Practices

September 27, 2013 - Rollins Management & Executive Education Center announces a new in-depth workshop for executives, managers and business professionals who seek to make their organizations stronger, sharper and more secure in the future. In this two-and-a-half day, practice-based program, you will explore the key elements of Sustainability, a concept that is rapidly becoming central to the corporate strategies of major global organizations.

Using examples from Agriculture, Food & Beverage, Consumer Products and other critical industries, this workshop will delve into the “Why?”, the “What?” and the “How?” of embedding sustainability into your business practices and making them PAY OFF. Participants will come away with ideas addressing, for their own organizations, the critical question of “What Now?”

Throughout the workshop benefits will include:

  • Learning and networking with like-minded professionals
  • A review of business implications of critical global trends
  • An overview of critical sustainability frameworks and tools
  • Field experience of a leading company
  • An SA Platform Sustainable Sourcing Guide

A strategic approach to sustainability requires a strong motivation. What prompts leading organizations to engage with and implement sustainable business practices? What’s in it for your organization? Additionally, the following topics will be explored:

  • Why sustainability matters.
  • Why business must act.
  • Why business must be proactive.

How are best-in-class organizations addressing the challenges of doing business in a resource-constrained world? What are the significant “Do’s and Don’ts” of sustainable business practice. A detailed look at the efforts of a leading company will shed light on your own organization’s efforts.
