Two Rollins MBA Students Receive Awards From Financial Executives International

April 25, 2011 — Financial Executives International’s Central Florida Chapter (FEI) recently honored two Rollins MBA students with outstanding student awards. Omonigho Omokwale, who will graduate on April 30, received the FEI’s Medallion Award for outstanding performance in the MBA program. Rohini Das, a first-year Early Advantage MBA student, received a cash scholarship of $1,000.

“We are very pleased with the recognition of our Rollins MBA students by the FEI Central Florida Chapter,” said Halil Kiymaz, Bank of America Professor of Finance, who also chairs the academic committee of FEI. The event hosted Rollins MBA Executive in Residence, Allen Kupetz as the speaker of the evening. Professor Kupetz’s topic was “Social Media for Financial Executives.”

The FEI Medallion is awarded annually to honor a graduating student’s outstanding academic achievements and high potential for career success in either financial analysis or financial management. The FEI’s scholarship is awarded to a current student to recognize outstanding accomplishments and a high level of interest in a financial career and high potential for success as a financial executive.

Omokwale and Das received their awards at the organization’s annual Future Financial Executives Night on April 7, 2011, at the Citrus Club.
