Rollins Launches Business Accelerator Program for Growth Stage Entrepreneurs

February 28, 2011 – The Rollins MBA is launching the Crummer Graduate Certificate in Advanced Entrepreneurship — Rollins Business Accelerator — a new graduate certificate for growth stage companies this coming April. The program was specifically designed for executives at second or growth stage companies. It will bring participants together with their peers and select Rollins MBA faculty to analyze, evaluate and develop strategies for growing their business.

“If you’ve built a successful business and are now looking to take the next step in growing, the Rollins MBA Business Accelerator can help you forge the right plan and avoid costly missteps,” said Cari Coats, Executive Director, Rollins MBA Center for Advanced Entrepreneurship. “Despite the range of existing resources for start-up companies in Florida, the market has lacked programs that can help the real job builders of our economy — successful growing businesses.”

The program is run by Rollins MBA professors, experienced entrepreneurs and includes access to tools from the Kaufman Foundation, including business performance and planning, strategic marketing, employment issues, financial backing and support, and growth-readiness tools.

The certificate is completed in 12 modules: two modules are completed every other Friday, and the full course takes only 12 weeks. In addition to earning certification, candidates who complete the program will have developed a full MBA-caliber case study for their own businesses. The Center for Advanced Entrepreneurship is committed to ensuring that professional participants are working with their peers, vetting all applicants based on the revenue, number of employees and growth potential of their company.
