Rollins College Opens Membership to Corporate University Program Provides Organizations With Custom Educational Offerings

February 23, 2010 — Rollins College announced today that its Center for Management & Executive Education is accepting new members to its Corporate University, a partnership that gives organizations a way to customize educational offerings for their employees.

The Rollins College Corporate University works with members to determine the development needs of their organizations and then designs curriculum based on their feedback. The model allows members to participate in the process of determining what educational topics are offered on the Corporate University platform, and to supplement their organizations’ company-specific, in-house development initiatives with courses designed based on their needs.

This approach encourages employees from different backgrounds and industries—but who have common characteristics and roles within their respective organizations—to bring a shared understanding of many business issues to the classroom. This enables the fostering of personal and professional relationships among potential business partners. It also provides an opportunity for students to discuss similar issues and to relate that information to materials being discussed in class.
“In addition to the educational benefits, the Rollins College Corporate University also benefits member organizations in terms of time and money saved through sharing resources and collaboration,” said Erica Sorrell, executive director of the Center for Management and Executive Education. “These management development programs collectively target the needs of participating organizations and enables employees to learn locally.”

Member benefits include discounted rates on Corporate University and Open Enrollment programs offered through the Center for Management and Executive Education, preferred pricing on custom programming and an allotment of on-site programming. Members are also provided updates on Corporate University programs and support to internally market and measure the program.
