Community Leaders Use New Service to Get Involved with Nonprofit Organizations

November 7, 2012 - Rollins College Philanthropy & Nonprofit Leadership Center has launched a new online tool called Board Finder which features postings from nonprofit organizations that are seeking to fill volunteer leadership positions on boards, committees, task forces and advisory councils. For community leaders looking for nonprofit board positions in Central Florida, this new tool will make their search easier and more diverse. Board Finder is available on their website at www.pnlc.rollins.edu.

“Community leaders are often looking for ways to get involved and help the community through nonprofit organizations,” said Margaret Linnane, Executive Director of the Rollins College Philanthropy & Nonprofit Leadership Center. “Board Finder provides a simple way to match qualified candidates with opportunities to serve.”

The service just launched and already features more than 25 listings from nonprofit organizations seeking candidates for open board positions. The openings range from governing board to specific positions on task forces or committees such as marketing or finance. Interested community leaders contact the organizations directly to apply for the volunteer board positions.
